Roku, the nation's No. 1 streaming platform in U.S, has laid off nearly 10% of its total employees, 300 employees.

This is because it has become difficult to secure new users due to worsening streaming competition.

In addition, Roku decided to remove some content from the platform and remove some content it owns to reduce costs. Even though  the rate of watching content is very low, license costs  must to be spent, but there is little profit from it.

Roku is a kind of portal where you can see streaming services on one platform. Instead of collecting and transmitting streaming, it receives fees from operators. It also operates its own channels such as Roku channels to secure advertising revenue.

As a result, Roku's slump can also be seen as a slump in streaming services.
