The global demand for K-content is growing. In particular, the number of people watching K-dramas and K-performances in Latin America is increasing. This can be seen by looking at the content consumption landscape of Latin American audiences.

According to global content demand analytics platform Parrot Analytics (PA), Latin American audiences are broadening their content consumption landscape. They are increasingly interested in content not only in English and Spanish, but also in other languages;

In this region, the demand for content from Portugal and Spain in Q1 2020 was 76.9%. However, this dropped to 70.7% in Q2 2023. Meanwhile, demand for Korean or Japanese content grew from 13.5% to 17.7%. Demand has shifted from local content to global content.
