It announced that it will launch 10 (FAST, free ad supported streaming TV ) channels on Samsung FAST platform TV Plus, which distributes programing from the streaming service ViX of Televisa Univision, the largest Spanish-language broadcaster in the U.S. It is to move programings on paid streaming channels to FAST TV, which is an uncommon choice in terms of existing subscription strategies. But televisa chose FAST to keep streaming alive.


It is a strategy that allows more subscribers to experience VIX content, which eventually helps them subscribe. Adam Waltuch, TelevisaUnivision EVP, said in an interview with StreamTV, "It is to expand the contact point for viewers along with the continuous increase in demand for Spanish content. It is a strategy to attract viewers to streaming service VIX."

TelevisaUnivision's multi platform strategy needs to be referred to by Korean streaming services which are considering for global market.  If there is a demand, we must be there. There is absolutely no reason to insist on a proprietary platform. (No matter where consumers want to find us, no matter how consumers want to interact with us, we're there)  It is also necessary to refer back to the strategy of kocowa + penetrating 'Amazon prime video'
